Anyone find benign cysts after treatment?
I'm nervous and scared and can't seem to get my mind off the upcoming procedure (which is delayed due to vacation of my surgeon, but she said it was ok to wait the 4 weeks and I figured that if something was found cancerous, I would want her so I would end up waiting anyway.)
Thanks for your feedback,
JoAnn

I had a 6 month follow-up last Monday. They did an ultrasound. They found a cyst in my other breast, but they said it was nothing to worry about (easier said then done). I go back in 6 months for a mammogram.
i also had a cyst, they said this happens more often as you age and with thehormonal shifts!0 -

I'm actually surprised that they want to do a biopsy. I'm hoping it is just to be covering their a__es.0 -

Same thing here.I had a malignant tumor and a cyst found same time 2 years ago.Tumor removed and cyst stayed. Also had 2 other tumors removed that were benign. One was found during the surgery to remove the malignant tumor and the other was found snd removed during a margin surgery.
Check ups have been pretty good for 2 years.Mammos are fine.THEN the bottom fell out.A tumor and another cyst were found July 14 during my 6 month mammo. Tumor was small and wasn't felt. That tumor was biopsied just last week and found to be benign.Still there and will do something later.Doctor said things are OK for now.
I didn't have chemo or radiation with non invasive DCIS.Stage 0.But I am stressed from it all. Just worry about what NEXT??? My friends and niece havent had these problems. All of their cancer were invasive, spread and fast growing BUT I have all these scares. My doctor always says everyone is different.I agree and I am the different one.

As I post this, I have a lump in the other breast that they said was benign. I have another mammogram in September. They are doing them every six months to keep watch on it. I also had chemo and radiation.

Lots of us have had scares where they found "something" on a mammo and wanted a biopsy, which turned out many times to be benign. Even though I know it is scary, it isn't always bc.
Wishing you the best,

Yes
About a year after my lumpectomy for Stage 1 Triple Negative, I found a small lump in my other breast. Immediate mammo and sonogram and the radiologist told me he was 90% sure it was a cyst but wanted to make sure. Back to the surgeon and back in the hospital. He removed it and that was all it was. After the year of horror, I was so very relieved.

and I want to focus on that to try to quell the fears until 9/7 when I will have the biopsy!
Hugs to all.
