Hi. I had Wilms in 2002 at 26 and again last year at 34. Keen to talk or swap stories if you are. Jaye
I've only talked to two other people with adult wilms. I am 29 and diagnosed with stage III this past Nov. To complicate matters I was 31 weeks pregnant. The decision was made that surgery to remove left kidney/ and the tumor was needed asap. They waited two weeks for the babies sake and then I had my son, then a week later surgery. A week and a half after surgery I started radiation and chemo. My son spent 6 weeks in the neo natal unit but is perfectly healthy now. My last chemo treatment was June 20 this year- so far everything looks good. For the first year I will have quarterly testing. I would love to hear more about your experience and how your doing now. Sorry to hear yours came back--hopefully all is well.0 -
