Kind of excited

Call me weird, but I'm kind of excited to get started with my first chemo treatment tomorrow. I got my port put in Tuesday and it feels better today. Maybe it's the prayers of my friends and family, but even though I am nervous I feel full of joy about the experience that is ahead of me. I know I will have terrible days, don't get me wrong. But isn't it wonderful that we live in a time with great medical advancements? Isn't it wonderful that we have each other and friends and family? I feel so incredibly happy!
Today I pray for each of you!

Wow
Wow- may God bless you for your attitude! I hope and pray that all goes well for you. Yes, I do feel thankful for the time we live in, as I know if I had been diagnosed with stage IV cancer several years back, that I wouldn't be here today.
Best wishes to you-

Your enthusiasm is wonderful . . . . I fully understand your excitement about treatment - we really are blessed to be living in a time when there are possibilities! Imagine the the time in the future when all children will be able to be vaccinated for this horrible disease.
I am sorry that you too have to be on this board but I do believe that you enthusiasm and love of life will be welcomed by all.0 -

The 5 hours in the infusion room were a breeze--a kind, competent nurse, a great view out the window, and a wonderful husband by my side. I hardly even felt the needle going in. I think I'm going to like this port, by the way.
In the middle of the night, though, it was a different story. Terrible nausea and head/face ache. But life always looks brighter in the morning, and it did today. I'm learning to make sure the water is really warm before I wash my hands. And I'm trying to figure out healthy, easy foods to keep in my stomach.
You guy are great examples of endurance!
