Treatment number 3 tomorrow.
Today I have made some snacks to take with me tomorrow. The recipes are from 2 different cancer fighting cookbooks.
Best wishes to all of you.

Chemo #3
Carla,
When I was having chemo, one of the chemo nurses told me she read an article that patients tend to experience worse side effects on their third, sixth, ninth... treatments. I didn't find that to be true for me. But just know that if you have more severe side effects this round, it doesn't necessarily mean they will all be worse.0 -
Thanks for telling me that.Tethys41 said:Chemo #3

Thanks for telling me that. I am still trying to stay as active as possible. I have spoken on the phone with a lady who had very few side effects throughout all her treatments. Guess it just varies for each person.0 -

I think everyone's reaction is different. I had the worst time with my initial chemo; by #3, I knew what was coming and how to handle each side effect. Chemo brain was the only symptom I couldn't mitigate.0 -

three down and three to go. I hope you have no bad effects from this one. I remember my first chemo was the absolute worse,, very very painful, but got better after each chemo. When I had a recurrance then the chemo stared to kick my butt. Everyone is different. Justget rest and have plenty of water and make sure you poop...val0 -

Yes everyone is different but I am glad you are doing well. I had chemo for 10 months and I was truelly in sort of a fog.....it just seemed to pass fairly quickly and now that it is over it is kind of a distant blur! My treatments got easier to handle as time went on. At the end they hardly bothered me. Maybe at first they were hard on me because I was so sick and weak to start with. Anyway, glad you are half way thru and hope the rest goes fast and without any difficulties.0 -
I just had my 2nd Chemo
I just had my 2nd Chemo yesterday and have not been sick at all, I get dry mouth and my feet get achy but that is all so far, but like you said it is culmative, like you I feel so blessed because others have had such a hard time.
Thank you Ladies for all your post they are very informative.0 -
