My skin has been itchy, not burning though. I just figured it's residual from chemo since it is not only where the radiation was? Or it could just be the heat? If you get other info I would be interested to know.

TY Cindy thought that is what it could be sinc never had it before... will let you know if I hear anything different...

Lori - I finished Taxoterepoplolly said:I started peeling right as I
I started peeling right as I finished radiation. It looked awful--like a bad sun-burn where a breast should be.....
Lori - I finished Taxotere in April and during the time I was getting it my hands turned a very sunburned color, was itchy and then started peeling. It was that way for a good month.
I have it again now; in addition I had to see a dermo last week because for aeveral weeks I have had a burning, itchy, red rash all over the tops of both feet. She said it could be a late reaction to the Taxotere; she gave me a steroid injection and oral stteroids for
a week along with a tube of cream called "VANOS" to use twice a day. I have really gotten relief from the burning and itching; the deep reddened rash is slowly improving. Hope you can sleuth out your symptoms - burning skin is not fun!

About my 2nd or 3rd taxol treatment the tops of both of my hands started breaking out ... itching and burning like heck. Drove me nuts. My oncologist sent me to a dermatologist who gave me some sort of salve type stuff to use .... and it cleared up in a few days and never came back.
hugs.

Hello yes I still get burning I believe its after effects of radiation and surgeries cause I did not have chemo and I wonder will it ever feel normal again so you are not alone and I do hope for all of us we get back to normal if there is such a thing after cancer0 -

Some have the itching after rads, so, could that be it?

after I finished 6 rounds of TAC and rads. I would be scratching it constantly. Sometimes I put lotion on it or water just to try to make it stop. It was not my affected side. I have no idea why it itched. And then, as quickly as it arrived, the itching vanished and it hasn't itched since. Another one of those: "things that make you go hmmmm"!!
