Asked the doctor
I was starting to need mammos once a year but I might be back to every 6 months with this.

Best to be safe...
Better safe than sorry....be your own best advocate....personally, I would want it either aspirated or a biopsy done.... since you've had bc once...For peace of mind, I wouldn't wait and "watch it" for 6 months...
Wishing you a tiny, benign cyst...

Hi Lynn
If I was in your place I would be proactive. I would need to know for sure. don't sit on it for six months. That can make all the difference in the world. good luck to you. I'm sure its nothing but knowing will ease your mind. Take care sweetheart let us know what you decide. Kay0 -

I would want it checked out just for peace of mind since there's history there. We'll pray that it's just cyst but it's better to be safe than sorry.0 -

Be safe, be proactive. Best case scenario--it's nothing more than a cyst. Worst case--you are right on top of it and taking care of it. But we're going to say it's a cyst!
Hugs, Renee
P.S. I'm being checked every 6 months now--and I'm really happy about that. Since my microcalcs. were missed by at least 2 mammos (surgeon's opinion), the more testing I have, the better I feel.0 -

WARRIORS .. above. Peace of mind, is priceless.
Be you own best advocate .. and if your Oncologist/Specialist/Doctor brushes you off... Switch physicians .. .quickly. It is your body, your life.
Strength, Courage and Hope.

The Breast Center was very nice to me when it was found.BUT my doctor said a excisional. Now I am told not what was said. I waited 2 weeks for a consultation for that. Now I am calling the breast center BEFORE his office does. They have to get a order to call them first but I think the Breast Center will work it out.
Never heard from my oncologist about the Marker test but I was told by the receptionist No news is good news but I am calling back anyway.I know the test isn't conclusive though.
I just can't talk to anyone about this.I haven't told my sister my sons or a few friends.Just want to be to myself but I will tell my Pink Sisters and my husband. He has to know.I thought he might be taking me for what I thought was a excisional biopsy. The Table Turned.
Yes it is going to be within the next 1 1/2 to 2 weeks with the Berast Center.Just wish I knew why it was changed. He mentioned surgery rooms are longer to get but really I feel insurance might be a problem.

Thank You my friends I feel so much stuck in the middle.Calls will be starting today to all my doctors. You wouldn't believe what I did when I heard I had something.I called in a few days to all my doctors telling them they can give a order to the Breast Center but the surgeon was the one who wanted to do the other procedure.0 -

I agree with the others. I'd rather be safe rather than sorry! Maybe be an ultrasound?
Hugs,
Debi
Ihad a ultrasound.Shows something very small. It can't be felt but I want it gone.
In the short time I did my last post(couple minutes) I've called my oncologist for my marker test results.
I am confused why things changed. Why would I need to see my doctor yesterday. I need the Breast Center.Well off to bug them. They did follow up with me on what was going on since they never heard from my doctor 2 weeks ago.

I would go with what the
I would go with what the radiologist recommends. Oncologist aren't trained to read mammos, they don't read them all day. Some may spot things better than the average medical doctor, but still it is not their forte. (I am probably a little prejudiced as I work with the rads!)
