My 24 year old son stopped by today. Said he had a surprise for me. He had special ordered something for me. It's a blue colon cancer bracelet with the words "FEAR NOTHING" enscribed on it. He ordered one for every family memeber. He said I have taught him to stand strong...not just thru my fight with cancer...but with every difficult situation I have encountered....for as long as he can remember. It has taught him that no matter what comes his way to look it in the face...don't fear it...deal with it. He said he ALWAYS remembers a quote I have said to my kids for years "You always have choices....even if you decide not to choose...you have still made a choice"

I guess sometimes kids DO listen....sometimes.

Still drying the tears....wonderful tears...someone on another post said something about throwing in the towel..... not this girl...not ever.

    What a heartwarming post! As parents, it is our greatest wish to have had a positive influence on some aspect of our childrens' lives. You have certainly done that. Your son sounds like a great man produced by a wonderful mother.
