2 1/2 years for me on tamoxifen
Went I first started tam I had a lot of anxiety like I was going to throttle someone and really tired!!! Did some research, went to my oncol and asked about effexor. It got better but kept gaining so much weight! (I'msure it had to do with starting meno after Chemo too) this past year I spoke with my reg doc about still being so tired! So she rec pristiq....I have my summers off (a teacher) and have been trying to wean myself from pristiq, it's going on 3 weeks now (using Sam e to help with the head stuff).
Has anybody tried this and how long do you think it takes to wean? I am back to being extremely tired and wondering how long I can hold out....I start school in a month.
Thanks,

Hi all--good luck on the next couple of years...
It's actually 3 years since I finished chemo, I then had surgery
and the radiation..but feeling good.
I'm on Aromasin, after being on Arimidex and Femara..
The only two side effects I'm really having trouble with is the lack
of sleeping at night (like you)..I usually get about 3-4 hours a
night...and up at 5 or 6 for work...
and joint pain, but I deal with that...
Have a good night
