hello all.thanks for all the support and hugs to everyone.went to see my surgen today and he feels very confident about my upcoming liver surgery.so with that it makes me feel better too.my chemo onc made a mistake last week and told me that my surgen had spoke to him and said i was inoperable.WHAT A BLOW to us that was.my surgen told me today that if i wanted him to he would talk to the chemo onc and have him call me and tell me why in the world he would even say that. i said yes i would like to speak to him so, to sum it all up my liver surgery is set for 9/08 and will be done laproscopically(sp)the 3 lessions are all on the right lobe so he will be removing that.he said 2 to 3 days in hospital which i was expecting more.as far as the 2 spots on my lung that are close to my liver we wont know about anymore chemo until after surgery and the path report comes back on that.so he said he was giving me a free ticket for a month with no chemo and no doc visits..YAY.so i have a month to get tough and get my mind set to fight fight fight.thanks again and when you all have bad days i will try to be there for you all.but for now i am not going to worry about anything, enjoy being off chemo, play with my horses and praise the Lord.....Godbless....johnnybegood

Oh, that's good to hear! I know you were upset after that other visit. Praying this will be an easy procedure and help you get back on the right track.

So very glad that your surgeon was able to give you good news about doing op on liver mets.

I think your onc made 2 mistakes. One he should never have told you you were inoperable and two he should have never spoken for your surgeon. It only goes to show that we should get our info directly 'from the horse's mouth'.

Best wishes and prayers for sucess with the surgery and recovery. Sounds like you have good things coming your way.

Best wishes with your upcoming surgery. Enjoy your chemo break and get yourself as stong as possible. Big surgery but it is one of the best options for beating this cancer.

    Take care - Tina
