Hi, Karen,
Glad to know
Hi, Karen,
Glad to know that you are in bay area too? I went to the garlic festival couple years ago and had great time too. I bought a t shirt from a local artist and people always ask me where to get one when I wear it. Thanks for sharing, that brings me good memory of the event. I live in Cupertino area. How about you? I just had my second surgery on 7/22. I am in reocerering everyday gratefully. When I feel better, I will post more to share my HIPEC experience and more.
Just want to say hi to my local friend! Wish that we can meet someday...
Getting tired now.... Next time..

I am glad you are recovering well. I had HIPEC too. I am doing great. It was a long haul but other than a few aches and pains I feel like my old self. Come to think of it, this old self already had a few aches and pains before ov/ca. I am a Gilroy girl, born and raised. I would like to meet sometime. I have been going to SJ alot participating in the Living Well/Living Strong program at the Y. This is something you may want to check out when you feel up to it. It is strength training basically. We workout on Mondays and Wednesdays and have an optional group meeting on Fridays with a designated topic but are free to discuss whatever we need to. Our group has become close and we are sad that it ends on Monday. We are trying to figure out how we can stay in touch. We have email and may possibly come up with our own schedule to meet at the gym. The Friday group will continue as long as one person shows up and there is a scheduled hike every other Thursday which we can still be part of. It has been a great experience. We had an initial assessment at the beginning and a final assessment last Wednesday which verified that we have all improved. Take care of yourself.

I guess you didn't have tokikz said:Yes Leesa, they do have garlic ice cream
and it is free. We each asked for a cone but gave them all to one friend who likes it.

I guess you didn't have to worry about vampires, either.
Personally, I am a big garlic fan, and a huge ice cream fan, but me thinks that garlic and ice cream combined is contrary to nature.

There're only one hospital perform HIPEC in bay area, right? Did you have your HIPEC procedure done in Good Samaritan by Dr. kolkka?0 -
Sorry Tracyzenisthou said:HIPEC ?

I googled HIPEC and didn't read far enough. I had chemo through a port in my abdoman. I didn't read the surgery part. Like my mom always says, a little knowledge is dangerous.

There is not much of a vampire problem in Gilroy. I love garlic but I don't want it in my ice cream or wine either.
