I appreciate you asking about me. Several times lately I've tried to get on only to find the server down with overload - frustrating. Anyway, I continue to have difficult side effects from this chemo combination (Xeloda and Tykerb). BUT, I'm functioning and able to do my normal routine and a little more. I did however miss my first day of work (since March 2010) because of diarrhea.
Next Saturday I will start another round of Xeloda, then have a scan on the 15th. I hope and pray that through this misery, the chemo has been working! Out of curiosity (and boredom), I decided to do a little math. Since May 28th, I have ingested 80,000mg of Tykerb along with 168,000mg of Xeloda ... Is it any wonder that my body is out of sorts?????lol
I'm glad to have made connection this morning, but was saddened to read of Meena's passing. She fought for a long time. This was the promise I made to my kids when I told them of my diagnosis - to fight as hard as I could for as long as I'm physically and mentally able. I believe that's what Meena did.
Thanks again for checking in on me. Please continue all the warm, positive thoughts, prayers and good wishes...as I do for you.
