I had severe bone pain with Taxol and an elevated heart rate but no nausea.
Have you used the pain patch before? Everyone reacts so much differently with each med. Also had no nausea with rads.
Will be thinking of you,
Jennifer
I put one pain patch on Thursday the second yesterday. Then it was suppose to be up to the level of pain med so two new ones this morning. I couldn't rip them off fast enough when I got to feeling bad. But I need a good pain med for my leg if the radiation doesn't work or if this taxol gives me bone pain. Ugh. I can't stop crying. I am attempting to eat some crackers. I feel horrible, like a terrible parent, my 3 year old is just plopped in front of the tv but what do you do??? I had such a good day yesterday after such an awful week of leg pain and here I sit again feeling horrible. I am so depressed.0 -

I would say to call your doctor now. My oncologist told me to call if I had a fever or severe nausea.

I also had leg pain about 2-3 days after the Taxol treatment. I also had a Neulista shot. Not sure which caused the pain, but it was difficult to walk. I didn't have any nausea afterwards. Hang in there.
Or go to the emergency room if you have fever and can't keep any food down. I had 12 weeks of taxol weekly and did not have symptoms like you are describing; your white blood counts could be low and any fever while on chemo should mean to call your doctor immediately. Dehydration is also a danger and kin the hospital they can put in an iv to rehydrated you.

I am sorry to hear that you are having suck a hard time.
I started Herceptin and Taxol yesterday morning and so far I have had no side effects or pain.I am a little tired,I have been drinking a lot of water and I think that is helping. Also eating small snacks between meals.
Hope that you start feeling better soon. You are in my prayers.

I had 12 rounds of Taxol and did pretty good with Herceptin followed by 34 treatment of rads. I did ok. It was all doable. Take the meds as the doctor tells you to. Report any pain so they can take care of it and don't over do it, but keep your body moving.I am currently on Tamoxifen for the next 5 years. Hang in there. It won't last forever.
