RFA
Hey SLG,
RFA is not too bad of a procedure, usually out patient and highly effective for what you need it to do. I had one done and it completely ablated the tumor. Good luck!0 -

Thanks for the posting about RFA's to both of you. That helps us. My husband has been a bit concerned over this procedure. Can either of you tell me of any side effects and did your labs change right after?
We are traveling from California to Kansas for this procedure since he was on the transplant list in Kansas but was downstaged in January due to new tumors. Since January he has had three TACE procedures and most recently had a Y-90 in April but still has one more tumor in question before they can list him active again.
Anymore info would be very much appreciated!0 -

Hello!!! Again!!! I had no side effects with RFA. In fact my surgeon told me I coul go back to work in a week...I didn't because I decided to have chemo so they wouldn't come back..But as far as the RFA...no problem...They always did a cat scan after surgery to make sure there was no bleeding..then sent me home to my onc...I traveled from Kentucky to Ohio...not as far as you but the surgeon said I could go home the day after surgery and have a ct done at home or stay there...I stayed there.. I wish you all the best..With FAITH ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE...I am great now and give all the Glory to God..In Gods love...Barbara
P.S. Please look up my story at offutt 9 Miracle in work..God has a plan for me..0
