Is it back?

Panic does not help
but it's hard to avoid. I also hope it's just scar tissue - I wish I could give you a hint on how not to fret for the next two weeks, but I never discovered that secret. I hope it helped to share the secret - we can all help you worry, at least.0 -
Is it back?
I have been told by cancer patients further out that it is something you always worry about before your doc appointment. Seems like every bump or cough or anything seemingly out of the norm worries us and I think we wouldn't be human if we didn't worry.
Don't obsess and if you can go early, I agree with others who suggested to call the doc and see if you can get an earlier appointment, to at least ease your mind.
Good luck and keep us posted
Peace

You don't have to wait for your appointment to come up. Give your Drs. office a call and I'll bet they get you in this week.
They know how much you're worrying.
I'm betting on scar tissue because I'm also betting they removed all the lymph nodes on that side, even all the way done to your collar bone.

Just wondering
Did you have a medi-port placed around your clavical area ? Unbeknownist to me, I didn't realize what a long tube was inserted into a blood vessel from the port. After a year and a half being removed, every now and then I get a bump/knot in that area where the port and tube were placed. Massage seems to relieve it.

DRAIN TUBE SCAR TISSUE
I just had my 9 month throat scope and physical exam at 8:10 this morning. I have a small hard bump along my scar on my neck and it is just that, a small bump. I think fretting before any upcoming exam is part of the new norm. I know I did last night as I had a few cocktails to take the nervous edge off.
I am learning through my ENT that there will be far more cases of unknown lumps, hard spots ETC that are a non issue VS anything that may be an issue to worry about.
Do the best you can to stay busy and try to foucus on work, house work, kids ETC. That is what I try to do and most times I end up doing OK.
We are all here to help you through this.
Take care

Thank you all for the support
I called and they bumped me back to my ENT surgeon, so I'll see him this week for a scope and neck massage. He'll notify my rad/onc to be on the lookout on my upcoming CT scan in two weeks. We decided not to move the CT for scheduling purposes, since it's so close.
In the meantime, I'll be enjoying my sushi and burying myself in quilt projects....
Thanks again!
