blood clotting issues. Last Thursday a large bruise started to show on my mastectomy chest. I had not had any trauma since Memorial weekend when I fell. The bruising from that fall lasted a month but this new bruise just appeared after starting to take my aspirin again. I'm tired of having to worry about what could be nothing. My breast surgeon won't operate on my angel wings (scheduled for mid August) if my chest is bruised. Too risky! Why does it seem like once we get bc life is never the same.........

I am so sorry Char. I knew that aspirin can cause bruises, as, I seem to bruise more easily now since I take one every day.

Char, hopefully it's not a blood clot
but just from aspirin--seems very coincidental. I know what you mean--why is everything health related so scary now? Sometimes I wish my mind was like it was when I was 5--just worried about when I could play with my Barbies again!

    You summed it up
You summed it up beautifully: Being tired of having to worry about what could be nothing. We all hope this is a nothing... or of course, that whatever it is, can be explained and cleared up without further problem.

I'm sorry to hear that you fell! I didn't see that post. Hopefully the bruise will be nothing, but you are so right. I do worry about anything new that I feel physically...BC does that. AT least for now maybe after a few years we may not as much? Pray that your chest bruise clears up so doc can operate.
    Hugs,
    Annette

I feel so bad for you. It seems that with cancer or any serious illness it is always one thing or another isn't? You are always so nice and positve with everyone on here. It is sad to see you down, although deservedly so. I hope you get fast good news about your chest.

    Oh Char
so sorry that you have to worry about this darn bruise. I sure
hope it is a big old NOTHING. Yes innocence and carefree were
seen holding hands and skipping out of the building when the
cancer diagnosis came in. But guess who's in the building now?
Awareness and new appreciation are there to take their place.

Love you Char and hang in there!

comes into our lives...Ayse, you are absolutely right!
Remember when a bruise was just a bruise?
    Blessings to you,
