Hello everyone. I have been out for like 2 years now. After the surgery and chemo, I went back out there and try to live the "normal Life". I went back to work and a lot of good things happenned. I'm on my 3rd year as a survivor, no changes on my MRI a few motnhs ago.
So I just want to share this to everyone. Though my "normal life" now isn't as normal as before, I'm so thankful to God and to my family who takes good care of me.

    Hello Liz!
    And a great big CONGRATS to you!
    You are so right in saying that 'normal' isn't what it used to be. As of July 3, I am oficially a 25 year BC survivor. And my life still isn't 'normal' in the sense that after 3 cancer dx over a span of 10 years and 15 years straight of cancer treatment/post-treatment, I am not the woman I once was. HOWEVER, I find that the woman I am now is stronger, wiser, deeper, and in many, many ways, happier than I ever expected to be at age 63 (I was first dx at age 38).
    Life is full of challenges. For some it is health issues, for some divorce (BTDT too), for others it may be loosing a child or other cherished family member to some trgic event. It is not so much what happens to us as it is what we do with the experience(s). And it may mot be until long after the challenge abates that we can see how we grew through it.

    It helps all of us still in the "newbie" stage. I was diagnosed just a year ago and feel like I have been through so much until I read what others are still going through. It helps to remember the light at the end of the tunnel.
