The Suffering is Over

I am sad to post that John passed away on June 18th. Exactly four months after the Stage IV diagnosis. It does not seem real. He passed at home like he wanted, in Mom's arms with her singing Bob Marley "Baby don't worry, about a thing, cause every little thing is gonna be alright." All of his family made it in before he passed. All the way from Germany, California and Georgia. After Mom had her time alone we all went in the room with John and made a toast to "JOHN" with his favorite drink (Rum Punch). It was all very peaceful and full of love.
My Mom is absolutely lost. My son, who is only 8 years old has stayed by her side. He is the sweetest boy. We have been staying with her so she doesn't have to be alone. We still go do things so she can have her space, but she said she isn't ready to be alone.
It does not seem real for Mom and I. I saw him laying in bed after he passed, yet it hasn't sunk in. I know he is gone, I'm not sure how to explain it.
I am soooo proud of my Mom. John wanted to take his daughters to Jamaica to share his love of there, so Mom is carrying on with his wishes and taking his two daughters! I know John is so happy about this.
Thank you all for being there for me. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Apologies - I have no patience today
So sorry for your loss and hope your Mom and all of you start to have many happy memories of your brother. It sounds like you gave him a beautiful sendoff and a peaceful one at that. This is a terrible disease but we can get back at it by fighting it our own way and you all taking your brothers kids to Jamaica will be a good way. take care, prayers for all of you.

Our thoughts are with you and your family
As we go through this journey, we feel for each of us who is struggling with this disease. It sounds like your family is leaning on each other and that your John passed peacefully at home with his loving family around.
You and your family are in our thoughts and hearts. We hope you find some peace in the coming days and weeks.
