Port is coming out on Tuesday

I had my colonoscopy last week and the results were great. I schedule an appointment with a surgeon to discuss removing my port. He said the recovery is minimal and I could play golf the next day. So he scheduled me for Tuesday. I didn't think it was a big deal before, but now that it's schedule I feel like this is a huge step. Last week I shot an all time low round of 77. I'll never be the same as I was, but I feel like my "new normal" is getting closer to my "old normal". I guess I thought once I had cancer I would never be as good as I once was, to quote a song. From here out I'm not going to let my head limit my achievements.
Press on friends, there are good days on the horizon.

Way to go
I played a round of golf the other day, and half way through I was so frustrated, i used to have such a great long ball, but couldnt get it to go very far at all. Then it hit me I hadnt played since I had my lung surgery, where they cut through my back and took out a part of my rib, I do not think my strength is what it used to be, but I will work on that, I love playing golf.
Yep the port removal was easy and your up the next day with very little pain.
Good Luck and have fun.
