I had 4 lymph nodes removed...
I don't know if this is a help to you, but I had a PET scan... My onc said I had inflammed lymph nodes along with my BC. It sounded pretty serious, I was very concerned. Well I had biopsies and removal surgeries and had 4 lymph nodes removed with one on my neck and they came back negative. My doctor assured me that a person has thousands of lymph nodes and removal of those few were minimal. I feel better to be certain, removed what was questionable. I feel fine, just a few tiny scars.
Hope this helps, welcome to the board!0 -
Neck lymph node
Hi:
I had cancer in one of the left intrammary nodes, which, according to the oncologist is "unusual". I also had cancer in the lymph nodes under the arm, which were removed as well as a lumpectomy. Chemo and radiation took care of the intrammamary node, at least we hope.
Hugs,

I am 5 weeks into a recurrence of bc.....had just had a clean mammogram and ultrasound of my breasts 4 weeks before a "lump" ie Lymph node, appeared almost overnight right above my clavicle..it is in other lymph nodes but not vital organs, thankfully....this will not be removed...that was one of my first questions to my oncologist....I am in a clinical trial with a new ORAL chemo drug for mete static bc.....
Don't know if this helps or not...keep us posted....0 -

I had lymph node above my collar bone
not exactly my neck but close. After chemo I had a mastectomy and removal of 18 lymphnodes but I knew right along they were not going to be able to remove due to where it was the one near my collarbone. So they did radiation rx's from my neck to my breast and we are hoping for the best outcome down the road. I hope all goes well for you. Keep up your spirits!!!!0
