The doctors think the treatment is being successful if your CA-125 is reduced by one half with each chemo. It sounds as if you are doing better than that.

CA-125 is a protein made on the cell wall of various tissues in the body and overproduced in some forms of ovarian cancer. A lower number usually means less cancer so you can be happy about this test result.
If your number was not decreasing, the doctor would probably switch you to a differenct chemo. I am guessing that you are at least on a platinum chemo as that is the "first-line treatment" for OVCA. The lower CA-125 indicates that the cancer is responding to the treatment and that the cancer is "platinum sensitive" which means the platinum drug is working.
The oncologists like to get the CA-125 as low as possible with 6-8 treatments. Hopefully, your number will continue to decline and then stay low.
