Arthritis, nerve pain?

I've been experiencing pain in my left foot, on top, near last three toes since my chemo. I also am not able to bend these toes in. My right hand, primarily my thumb also is in constant pain. My Doctor said it's nerve strain and gave me a cream. Does anyone experience anything similar and if so what do you do to relieve the pain?

    NEUROPATHY?
Sounds like peripheral neuropathy to me, a common side affect of checmo. It should start to lessen once your chemo has been completed, but it takes a while. L-Glutamine and B-6 are ver helpful. Of course, I can't say for sure if it's not arthritis, but my neuropathy was intense in the feet and arms, pain, intense burning sensation.

I hope this helps, and that you feel better soon!

    Neruropathy
Sounds like neuropathy that I have. I take neurotin and ALA (alpha lipoic acide). I read about the ALA on one of these boards. My oncologist prescribed the neurotin and it helps. Do you get tingling and numbness also? If so, it probably is neuropathy and you should ask the oncologist for something to relieve it.

    Sorry you're hurting
I have had the same pains and more and everyone is different but mine got worse 3 months after I finished the carbo/taxol. I have pain meds for chronic back pain and athritis which help and it usually feels better after moving around in the morning
