Besides diet I have done reflexology, reiki (still doing), some Hydro peroxide IV plus vitamin C and B17 IV

But, as to the you can't change your genes, do I have a surprise for you. Your genes are your genes, but they are either turned off, or,,,,,,, they can be turned on or off again.
It's the science of epigenetics. I have a post about here somewhere. There are some videos on line maybe from NOVA.
If your genes are the puppets, epigenetics represents the puppeteers. THey are the hand that controls the genes.

Has some very interesting info in all segments, but there is one a medical breakthrough in how to treat cancer. This is not a food based thing and does need to be admistered in a hospital under your doctor's care but it is out there.Life goes on. It seems to be calling my name.0 -

I always believed that our life style can make a huge difference.
This is why I’m making such choices in my life.
This is why I’m trying to keep my cancerous cells inactive or how you call it turning them off.
And if someone will tell me ...’look you eat so healthy, you exercise...and you still got cancer’ there is one response to it. Thanks to my life style I’ve got it now but not 20 years earlier, because it was in my genes since I was born, simply ‘waiting’ for the right time to show up. Also look how people who are applying anti cancer diet are going through chemo or radiation, how well they are doing, how many chemos their body can take, it is unbelievable.
In my life I know that the trigger which ‘turned on’ my cancer was the stress and trauma that I had over ten years ago not the food that I ate. Our mind is so powerful. I think it has major role in our well being.

Nice to have you pop in again...have thought of you and hoped you'd come back and show your smiling face....
I've always believed we're a product of our environment and after all the researching about hormones and pesticides in our food chain, we should wonder how any of us survive without a horrible disease diagnosis. Always thought I was a good eater and exerciser nut, but then cancer hit and I just had to revisit what I was doing with my body and life.
One of the biggest areas of concern, the stress I was enduring daily....working a full-time stressful job, keeping up with raising a family, enduring 2 mom's with their aging bodies and basically trying to keep in a good lifestyle. Well today I've learned to just stop and smell the roses!!!! No more corp job, no more rushing to the stores, plain and simply trying to enjoy life in the "slow lane".
If you had to pick one thing that was a good "de-stresser" what would you suggest? I've got some great yoga going and started reading a book Mary Ann suggested from O. Carl Simonton, MD, with his self-awareness techniques. Do I practice every day...NO!! Curious what you'd suggest as doesn't your husband teach Reiki?
After reading the Macrobiotics link I find it interesting that fruits are on the WEEKLY list and don't read Olive Oil anywhere. I'm more on the Mediterranean diet with lots of berries and cruciferous vegies. Looks like most of the diet centers around vegies and beans...am I correct? I don't eat any meat, just the "good" fish, as even the grass fed chicken/meat is way too expensive. Best bet is just avoid the meat and chicken all together....easy for me!
I'll checkout the other links as always into alternative approaches. I chose the chemo & radiation as didn't know enough about any alternatives, but sure am now trying to keep my immune system up and running in full tilt to keep me healthy. Challenging isn't it?

My best ‘de-stressor’ is my cancer. I know it sounds ridiculous, but I’m totally different person since I was diagnosed. It made me slow down and like you said smell the roses. There is no rush anymore. I have time to meditate, read good books (Barbara Ann Brennan’s, Neal Donald Walsch’s, and Collin P. Sisson’s – these are few examples what type of literature I’m interested in). There is no regimen in my life. I basically try to live in a moment. I always had a big interest in cooking so now I’m checking all anticancer diets. I exercise ....a little, some walking and some pilates. I think more about ....myself now. I try to be calm and positive.

As per my tests so far I had only colposcopy, blood tests (including CA125), urine tests, pap smears. I hope that this time my oncologist will send me for some CAT scan or MRI. It is already over a year since my last scan. I’ll keep you updated.

Hi Bea...it sounds like you are enjoying life to the max and that is great! I do think that stress is a huge factor in a diagnosis of cancer. I was a Type A and had lots of job pressures. I just felt that work was no longer any fun and didn't feel "right". SO, I retired with great plans and in 8 months I was diagnosed. I lead a much more stress free life today....and like you, think more about myself. I try not to do anything I really do not want to do and I pay a lot more attention to what I eat!
So glad you have stopped to smell the roses....it sounds like it is working for you! Also, I love your picture...looks VERY peaceful!!
