I have been on and off the board for a few years now and finaly found some one with the same cancer. I have had chemo surgery and chemo. I was diag 4-08 my ca125 was 2500.
Now it is 12 it has been going up a little at a time the lowest was 6. 10, 11,12. I go tomorrow for a blood test my dr say he would not worry until it reaches 20. I am so scard of a reoccurance and were it wound come back. I do ok most of the time but i have my days.
I wounder if i will need chemo the rest of my life? My dr don't say much except don't worry (right). I didn't know our cancer was rare who told you that? I feel blessed to have found your post maybe we can help each other.

Hiya tomcat 59
I am assuming you have PPC and yes it is quite rare. MY Oncologist tols me it was rare and because it is rare it took them about 2 weeks to find out where my cancer was. Sorry you have been diagnosed with this cancer. My CA125 is now 116 which for me is quite good. I think we will always need chemo on and off as they can't cure our cancer but hope to keep it stable.
You might want to check out the Peritoneal Boards where you will find other ladies with our cancer.
Take care Tina xxxx0
