I am having severe allergies but I see most of the medicines say not to use them if you have "thyroid disease" - does this apply to those of us with thyroid cancer? Not sure how to work on this, but my post nasal drip has got to GO!

    Allergy Med's
I use Zyrtec. I don't think it's caused any issues for me, but I haven't looked on the box. Pretty bad for someone like me in the medical field. Just call your doctor and put a message in. There are also injections such as Depo Medrol or Kenallog that can be used for severe allergies. Ask your doctor about a once a month injection.

    Thyroid cancer is a

    well

Thyroid cancer is a disease of the thyroid... so ask your doctor or pharmacist

but if your thyroid is gone it probably wont damage your thyroid any more.. um...

why i say to ask your pharmacist is they are more likely to know about the side effects of meds and bad combinations of meds ... vs my doctor who evey now and then puts a new perscription in and is supprised that a pharmacy warning shows up with some combination of my meds and the new med. Not to mention you can normaly see your pharmacist the same day vs waiting however long to see your doc.

    NETI POT
I cant say for sure about medicine mixing with Thyroid. I would suggest the NetiPot. THis is a natural way and has no side effects. I use it regular and it works great. At first it seem a little odd or strange, but after using it a few times I could see and feel the difference. Good Luck to you. I know them allergies can be so uncomfortable.

yes I have tried those in the past and they seem to work.

I never liked the feeling it gave me though... and now that I suffer from vertigo that actually can set me off on a bought of vertigo so I have stopped using them.
