Oh.......
Okay...so I just spent the last year doing chemo/radiation, 2 surgeries, and then topped it off with 6 more months of chemo....tried to go back to work to find trouble doing it.....now because I'm single my survival rate is down the tubes????
Why didn't I just keep working and going about my life for as long I was given instead of putting my loving children through the stuff I did only to lose my battle because I don't have a spouse. A slap in the face is what that was to me today.

Please do not think you will lose your battle at all, especially because you don't have a spouse. For the few that have the perfect fairy tale marriage, I'm sure that this report was meaningful. For those of us that live in the "real" world, just remember that being married sometimes causes major stress which definitely isn't good for cancer, or life in general. To echo Buzzard, being mentally fit has a lot to do with it. A loving partner is good, but not a necessity.

That "study" is one of those ridiculous study's along the line of "People who don't die from something will live longer than those who do die from something". No kidding???
I guess those who are married two or three times must be slap-happy by now!
I really don't see the point of it being posted. Being a good person who helps others will help you more than being married. Marriage and happiness are not always synonymous.

BS: "The study also found that married patients were diagnosed at earlier stages of colon cancer and sought more aggressive treatment, which echoes findings from studies of other types of cancer." Hmmm, maybe THAT is why they lived longer, it has to do with being aware and/or having a good caregiver.0 -

Parsed, it really does make more sense!
The vows are: "Till death do us part".
So why not double-dose the chemo; insurance won't
pay for a decent shotgun blast to the noggin.
Oh well..... call me when it's over.

Well, if my husband doesn't kill me off first, this board may. lol. We are losing people to being banned, than to cancer. Wow!0 -

How did she get banned? I dont understand she got banned for posting her results? That makes no sense at all???

It doesn't make any sense at all. In fact, it's ludicrous. There wouldn't be a CSN if posting test results were grounds for an account being blocked.

Diane was banned? This is not something I can put up with. Is Greta having a fit of some sort?

Anyone who has concerns about CSN terms & conditions and their enforcement, please send me a PM or email via the contact CSN link. I will be more than happy to address questions about T&C and reiterate my responsibility to enforce them.
Some people who have violated T&C fabricate reasons that their accounts have been blocked. Some react angrily and lash out. When they do so in a way that causes confusion, anger, and dissention on the site -- even after their account is disabled -- it only confirms the necessity of having disabled it. Some people lack insight, some are unable or unwilling to accept responsibility for their behavior, and others simply refuse to adhere to site T&C despite any communication from me.
Best,
Greta

Diane was banned because she posted a verse from the bible that insinuated that she got good results because of her faith and those of us who are undecided or just don't believe would be doomed. This seems a clear violation of the T&C of THIS site..not to mention mean.
What's more, she has joined another site and is bad-mouthing CSN. Very sad.
Peace, Laurie0 -

This is not an adequate reply, and this is no longer a place where I want to be.

You beat me to it, that was the reason according to others who told me. And Diane is a member of the Colon Club if anyone is missing her, she is also on Facebook.0 -

As a fellow singleton, and with many others in our group you are not alone. But you have mentioned you are single on here, I'm sure the eligible men like Ron50 etc will be queuing up now outside your door. ;-)

I will probably catch some flak for making my statements but it really hurts when people are deservedly banned and turn around and make this board sound like we don't support free speech...it's about R.E.S.P.E.C.T.
