Radiation Begins in Three Days
I will begin my radiation treatments in three days, starting on July 6th.
I will be radiated on the left side, from just under my jaw, to just above my waist, from the middle of breast bone around to the back.
I'm nervous, scared and under a tremendous amount of stress. My mother-in-law is making our life a living hell right now.
I'm trying to focus on my own health and well being and that of my children and husband, but it's so hard when my MIL is holding the power of whether or not we have a place to live for much longer in her hands.
We reached out to extended family and friends who have been intervening and interceding on our behalf with her and she for the moment seems to have backed down a bit, but for how long is anyone's guess.
We need your prayers ladies, please pray that my MIL will grow a heart and have compassion, understanding and mercy.
Thank you...

I will pray for that and I
I will pray for that and I will continue to pray for the success of your treatments. I am forever amazed how people cope with all the stresses and problems that afflict us. Try as much as possible to concentrate on yourself and getting well, which sounds almost impossible to do in your situation.

I am so sorry that you are having a hard time with your MIL. That is the last thing you need right now. I will pray that your situation with her gets better.
As far as rads go, it's not nearly as bad as chemo. I just hit the halfway mark yesterday and so far so good. I'm sure that you have already been told to get aquaphor and aveeno skin itch relief cream. Believe me they work. I am finding that I am more tired than usual though. And I am drinking water like crazy, I just can't seem to get enough of it.
Good luck and stay strong.
Hugs,
