Feels it too..
I feel this too with my mum. She, the strong woman I grew up with, who tought me how to set boundries, how to always give your best and fight back and so on.. now as following this cancer, she is helpless, feel more ill than she actually need and I do understand this but at the same time want her to fight! Try! We love you! You know..

Your mom and frustration
HI: I know how both of you feel being the patient. She will turn around, trust me, once she feels more comfortable with the diagnosis and treatments. I don't think about it much and am just trying to make the best of every single day. She will too. Cancer isn't fun for anyone, that's for sure. Especially when one doesn't feel well. It's hard to be positive. But ranting is good!
It's our 144th year as Canada! And we have the royals (Kate and William) here to celebrate with us. Happy Canada Day to all Canadians out there!

Hi Liz
I understand how you are feeling. It is relentless isn't it. My mum had cancer that made her weak and ill. It is hard being a daughter and watching your mum deteriorate. There seems to be no end, no respite and no let up. I used to feel like I couldn't do it anymore. Some days I would get to her house and paint on a smile as I got out of the car as it was hard. And other days I just looked forward to just spending some time with her.
What I am trying to say is it is OK to be angry and frustrated from time to time - you are only human. It is good to blow off steam and here is a good place to do it because we all understand.
Its not bloody fair!!!!

I feel the same!
I am feeling defeated when it comes to my moms energy level. I try and tell her to walk a little or whatever but than i feel bad because I am not feeling what she is feeling. She is going to a golf tournament tomorrow. It's alot of sitting but you have to sit in bleachers and it's gonna be like 90 degrees. She didn't do well walking the Philly Zoo and it was 75 degrees. I give up!0 -
For the loved ones who must sit and watch..
Hi Liz,
I think it must be harder often for those who must watch us with cancer because I can imagine how frustrating it is for you. Not in my case - yet - as I have so far had very little side-effect and no pain or nausea. But I'm in the minority. I remember what pain my mother went through in life, not just the cancer which finally took her and I know especially how beautiful a person she was to everyone. There really are times when you want to scream and rant beause life sucks! Big time!
Good thing that our ears are big enough to hear the loudest of your screams, and those of others who need to let it out.
Holding you in my thoughts carefully,
AussieMaddie

I don't think we would be fair to say it is harder for us. I do appreciate that you can understnd that we suffer because of the way things change. The first time i went in my mom's bedroom to say goodnight and she had no hat on and she was just laying there watchin tv bald, it really hit me hard. Now it's like no big deal. But, that made it real to me. It still makes me wanna cry just tyoing about it. I try to tell myself God picked special people to fight this disease but my belief in God has been really torn down.0
