CEA
Again, CEA is something I don't get but your numbers sound way beter than Michael's. He was 87 after tumor was removed and now he is at 200. He just had his second treatment of Folfox. Hang in there, and try not to worry until you talk to the doctor, and write down your questions as you think of them so you remember what you want to ask the doctor.

CEA
it's not the definitive measure of cancer in one's body at all. Having an operation or a procedure often makes it rise for a while. Three weeks is not that long of a time. Also, 5.6 is not a very high number as far as CEA goes. As hard as it is to do, try not to worry so much if you can. I know it's hard to do at times...

Try and not be scared,it is very soon to be checking his cea.I didn't get mine checked untill 6 months after surgery, and a cat scan.I still do both every 6 months. It should go down by then, just try not to worry untill then.Just think positive.

My Cea is up to 4.5 and ithere4lfe said:Try Not To Worry
As caregiver, I try to be educated and supportive to my wife. The CEA for her has been a good marker so far.
Keep in the game. Today is today, and another chance to love.
Best
My Cea is up to 4.5 and it was at 2. a year ago. I have stared juicing again EVERYDAY, not worried on a daily basis, but it pops in now and then. Just have to keep pressing, I know that worrying is NOT good. My ONC has specifically told me, worrying, stress, can bring the cancer back. Luckily, I was raised by one hell of a woman! She made us strong....0 -

It is so easy to say " do not worry" we all do, and basically it is useless, that is why we are on this board to support each other. Yes you can love people you have never met and feel close to them, because we have something in common.
Just hang in there, one day at the time, always hope for the best, a strong mind creates a strong body I was told. It is not easy at times but it works for me.
We all care for you,
hugs Marjan

Hi Tina, I've had 4
Hi Tina, I've had 4 treatments of Folfox w/Avastin and my CEA started at 7, went to 337 before my 1st treatment and after my 3rd it is already down to 5.9. Give it some time. I'm sure that it will come back down. I'll be praying for you both!
Take care,
Pam0
