I was treated at MDA. When did you or your Dad's doctor reach out to them? It helps to have the doctor do it and it sounds like the records were sent. How long has it been?
Liz
We tried to get my mom in there. Had the doctor send all medical reports, but they turned her down because they don't take Arkansas Medicare. She would have to pay everything up front. Hopefully your dad won't have that problem. Good Luck.

I always contacted them by email and usually got a response within 48 hours. I'm sure you have been to their web site but here is a link go contact them with any questions: https://www2.mdanderson.org/sapp/contact/infoline/index.cfm0 -

Hi! It took me about 4
Hi! It took me about 4 months from the date I was referred. It was very frustrating, but worth it. I have been 2 times since May and will go back in July. They are very caring and compassionate-you are not just a number. However, I did keep calling them about every 2 weeks and had my doctor call also. Keep calling...it will be worth the wait. Best of luck!0 -

Thank you so much, all of you. I will keep calling. And thanks for the link! In the meantime, I'm going to ask his onc to put him on Xeloda and Avastin. I'm also having him do alternative therapies. I figure it can't hurt unless they are incompatable. I just don't want to wait 4 months if I have to without him being on anything.0
