So excited! Got my new tooth today.....

Oh the simple things in life that make us happy. Last week I got a bridge in the back. I have been putting it off with co-pays and such for George's cancer I just didn't want to spend the money. When George realized that it really bothered me (he really had no idea) he just laughed and said honey, we are not that broke that I can't afford to buy my wife some teeth.
Last weekend we celebrated our 41st anniversary. George said it is a 41st anniversary present. Guess it is payment for 41 years of cleaning and cooking.

Congratulations both of you. And congrats Tina on 41 years. Simple things are nice. (Last weekend a woman on a bike took a spill on a trail that i was walking on. She hit her mouth squarely on the handlebars. I didn't know the mouth area could bleed that much. She was probably so scared, and boy, that must have hurt. That is going to be a heck of a dental bill.)0 -
Oh My GOSH!!!
I'm sooo envious!!! LOL. Took my husband to the dentist Monday and was jealous of him due to Avastin couldn't have a teeth cleaning myself. It's been over a year and I need so much work done now.
So HAPPY for you!!!!! I know it must feel great to get them "choppers" back in order.

G'day Kathi
I know how you feel mate. I had 6 root canals during chemo, another two whilst on methotrexate and the last whilst on arava. Nine teeth lost to immuno-suppresants. I went to the skin ca clinic today to get stitches out of my face. I had what I thougt was a basal cell carc. taken off my right cheek last week. It was a rarer form of micronodular bcc. Apparently far more aggessive and harder to get rid of. The path showed clear margins but he intends watching it closely.I also got the results of my latest kidney function test. The allowed loss of protein thru urine is 150 mg a day. I usually sit between 300 and 500 mg. For some reason it has jumped past 1500mg. At worst I was 3200 mg and suffering odema. It is not a result I want as my neprologist warned me if it goes up he wants to do another kidney biopsy. They hurt!I am supposed to go on imuran for my arthritis. It is an immuno -suppresant used for transplants. I have been off arth meds for nearly 5 months as arava did a job on my liver. I can hardly move my hands when I get up in the morning. I hope imuran helps if I finally get on it. It will probably kill a couple more teeth and it is notorious for causing skin cancer to accelerate. On the up side my kidney doctor suspects I have some form of immunovasculitis and imuran is the normal treatment for that.
It is quite funny ,I don't worry much about colon ca any more . There are plenty of other things lining up to kill me.
I can just imagine you Kath ,doing the naked happy dance with your new tooth,(((((hugs)))) love Ron.0
