Very interesting.
My lack of knowledge is showing. What is D3? Is it an over the counter vitamin? I begin chemo next week. I am stage 3c clear cell. I'm REALLY scared. Have learned the hard way to stay off the internet researching. It only creates more anxiety. Thanks.0 -

Hey, I'm clear cell too. Know what you mean about the internet - not much about clear cell and what I found was depressing!! Just a positive word of encouragement - I was dx. stage 3a, grade 3, clear cell last July 6th, so I'm coming up on my 1 year "cancerversary". I finished chemo in Dec. (clinical trial GOG-0252) and had IV taxol and IP Cisplatin and IP Taxol and have continued on Avastin every 3 weeks. Don't be afraid!! It's not like the chemo from years before. Get lots of nausea meds. and take your naps!!0 -
YES TO D3
It is documented to be an anti-inflammatory, as well as anti-cancer. Our bodies convert sunshine rays into vitamin D3. So since many don't get enough sunshine, and using sunscreen blocks these helpful rays, many are defficient in D. You can get tested for Vitamin D - and it's a good idea to do so.
Thanks for the info, DB!

Thanks for sharing. The more I learn about OVCA, the more I realize that we're never gonna figure it all out!

Life is incredibly complicated, and I feel we are just beginning to understand some of the basics, but I really hope the word "never" does not apply to preventing & curing cancer.
