one month check up

One Month..
Probably at one month, nothing more than blood work and an ENT scope....More than likely nobody is going to have you do a CT or PET becaue of the high potential of radiation residual...
Actually at one month you're still cooking from the rads...they might not even do a scope at only a month out, unless some potential problem warrants one.
Best,

Get this, my husband went to see his ENT 2 days after his final rad/chemo and he stuck that thing down his nose and looked at his throat. His comment "WOW! They really cooked you." LOL I was surprised that they would do that so soon. He is meeting with his rad doctor on the 22nd. He goes back to his ENT on 7.25. I guess they will schedule some kind of scan at that time.0 -
Not much
Just a weigh in and labs. Nothing substantial until 3 months. Haven't even had a PET yet. It'll be 6 months in 2 weeks.

1 month
At one month I had a scope from my ENT. It came back clean, but, Dr. also said there was still alot of swelling. Had my 2 month CT scan yesterday and get results tomorrow. Hoping it's still clean, of course. My question...Do you ever get used to waiting for results of tests? Hope everyone reading this is doing well. Stay positive0 -
I am sure he will be fine.Hondo said:I was on Pins and needles
First Month check-up, I was happy to be finish with all that stuff that all I could do was smile. The Doctor checked my neck and scoped my nasal passageway all I could do was to pray he did not see anything.
Hondo
I am sure he will be fine. The only thing that has me a little worried, is that he had several lymphnodes showing a SUV at 6.8. I heard Pam M saying that chemo/rad may not work
as well on the lymphnodes. His tumor was 3.3 x 3.6 with an suv of 10.7 invading into the skeletal muscle and possibly the tonsilar region, and one lymh 2 x 2 with a suv of 4.4. But. More importantly we are all positive that going forward we will be ok. Just a little scared, but that is just par for the course.0 -
