Hello Pink Sisters,
My surgery went well on Monday. The hospital has never seen anything like the Pink Bus and I had a lot of explaining to do. The kazoo music and food smells coming from the bus had everyone looking out the hospital windows. As I was waiting to be wheeled into the OR it brought a smile to my face knowing all of you were out there. My husband SAID he brought the bag of chocolate bars out and gave them to the driver. Was that you BlownAway? Not sure if I believe him or not.
The recovery has been a challenge. It has not been what I anticipated - much more difficult. On the right side my tissue expander was removed and replaced with an implant. The left side was reduced and lifted. I went home with 3 surgical drains! I spiked a fever of 103.2, and was "running" from BOTH ends. The surgeon called in a rx for an antibiotic and moved my 1st post-surgical appt up from next Tues. to today (Thurs.) He did take out 2 of the 3 drains so that was a bonus. I am allowed to shower today but will wait until my husband gets home from work so I have a safety monitor so to speak. My 1st peek at the new girls was interesting. They are definitely smaller than they were before. They were a DD and I am guessing a B or maybe a C now.
I am feeling considerably better now so I had to login to this Board and let all of you know what is going on. The support is appreciated more than you can ever know.
