Thank you for the prayers!
I am so sorry that you and your wife have to go through everything again. I can understand why you both feel lost right now. This darned disease has us on emotional roller coasters that nothing prepares us for. I will pray for you both for sure.0 -

Hello, I am glad your wife shows no sclc in the lungs. As far as the other spots I am not familiar with sclc, as I had nsclc and don't know what the other spots could be. I visit the Inspire lung cancer web site, and there are survivors there that might be able to help with your question. I am praying that its just inflammation and it will go away. I wish you and your wife well. Lori
My mom was just diagnosed with nsclc stage 4. She is metastatic to the pleural lining and space outside the pleural lining. We found out 3 weeks ago and are now still testing and figuring out how to treat. The pleural space keeps filling with cancerous fluid so we will either do a pleuradesis or a pleural tap before starting chemo. I am interested in alternative treatment also. I believe she will overcome this because she is strong and a fighter. Anyway, I am trying to learn the stories of other survivors of nsclc and if anyone is willing to post on our blog so others may read it. It is www.cindyhudson.blogspot.com.
Thank you and God Bless!0 -

Thank you!
Dearest Chad and Linda,
Along with God's love and protection, the love and devotion that you both have for each other, will see you through.
My prayers are constantly with you both. I ask God to protect Linda, limit any side-effects of treatment to the minimum, continue to bless her with strength and courage, peace and love. I pray the same for you, Chad. Cling to Him, cling to each other.
Blessings on you both,

Hello, I just saw this request today. I was very fortunate to have had the cancer caught at stage 1a as I was being scanned for follow up to anal cancer. I had a lower right lobe lobectomy and that comes with an 85% cure rate. I was a 35 year smoker up until the anal cancer diagnosis on 5-4-09.
Now if you go to the Inspire web page I talked about, you will find many stage IV survivors. One just came up to his 11 year aniversary. There is a lot that can be done nowadays. As a matter of fact one of the anal cancer survivors on CSN had metasis to the plueral lining and completed treatment in March and presently is showing clear on her CT scans. If you go to the anal discussion board her name is JDuke.
I will have you and your mom in my prayers. Lori0 -

How big are the spots? Are you considering radiation?
The one in her pelvis is baseball size, liver spots are all around 1 inch and the one in the back of her neck is still small...she had tried 2 times to do radiation now but they can't do it because she can not may flat and stay still because of the pain. Doctor said that her pubic bone is gone on the right side.He is hoping that chemo will relieve some pain so that she can lay down.0 -

Then that is what I will pray for! Lord, please allow the chemo to relieve Linda's pain and discomfort, so that she may receive radiation, if that is Your will. Amen0 -
