checking in - delayed
Sorry I have not been on the site in awhile. Just trying to move ahead with life.
No excuses I know. Sorry about that. I do think of everyone on this board very frequently and still think how lucky I was to find this site to help my husband (and me) through treatments.
An update on my husband, Joe, (SCC HPV+16 in tonsils, mets to 8 lymph nodes):
- Ended treatment 11/11/10. Looking forward to the 1 year mark of 11/11/11 - such a cool date to write).
- Last PET came back clean. Yeah!
- Still little saliva, taste buds still not great, and a little turkey neck, but overall doing very well in my opinion.
Here is a page that my husband wrote up - hopefully may be able to help some newbies. Maybe if it is good Sweetblood can post it to her FAQ super thread? (If it helps others). Let me know if the link works:

NICE TO HEAR FROM YOU
Please do not feel bad about not coming to the site all of the time. I too do not make a visit every day, but think about all of my friends here at CSN. Sometimes the best medicine / therapy is to just jump back into life as you know it. I am glad to hear that your scans came back clean as I have a Chest CT and Neck CT with contrast coming up on June 13th.
Enjoy life
Best!!

Thanks For the Check-In
Glad things are going well, and life is good....
Both Taste and saliva will more than likely get better, just a slow process....
Make sure you check back in with those good results on 11/11/11....
