I was going to wait and post after I see my onc this Friday. I started Xeloda and Tykerb on May 28 (13 big pills every day - YUK!) and there are many NEW side effects with this combo. I've been able to work but haven't done much otherwise. This is the toughest chemo yet (for me). Hopefully it's been working for these (almost) 2 weeks.
I've been deeply saddened for the past few days. My best chemo buddy for the last year died on Friday, the 10th. She lived about an hour away and we only saw each other at chemo but we started e-mailing and phoning each other back in January. She was the same age and we always had much to talk about. She was a wonderful person and I found her to be a blessing. I know she wants me to keep up the fight. She leaves behind a husband, 2 sons, 1 daughter, 3 grandchildren and one on the way in August. I, along with many others will deeply miss her.
Thanks for thinking of and asking about me. Keep those thoughts and prayers coming. God bless us all. Marsha0 -

My deepest sympathy Marsha for your chemo buddy. I will certainly say a prayer for her and her family.
I am so sorry that this chemo is so hard. Wish there was something to make it easier on you. Praying it is working!
Please do post again when you see your oncologist.
Praying for you,
