OT - Amber Alert worked!
This morning about 6:30 - 6:45 - there was an Amber Alert activated for our area. A 2 y/o boy was missing and believed to be with his father. The Mother had been found murdered last night in Green, Iowa - father is the suspect. At 6:15 this morning, his 2006 red F-250 was spotted near Kadoka, SD. About 8, they came back on TV and said taht the Amber Alert was canceled - the child was safe and the father in custody.
It tears my heart up as a mother and grandmother for what this little boy has been through and what he will in the future BUT HE IS SAFE now. I don't know his name - but then i don't think Heavenly Father needs to hear me use a name in my prayers.

Tragic story
This is a sad story but I am so glad the little boy is safe. I agree with you as a Mom and Grandma this breaks my heart. I will be praying for this little boy and family, you are right God knows the situation and will hear our prayers. God Bless

Happy ending for the little boy but sad he lost his mother. Now he doesn't have either parent.
If the child wasn't I would be afraid what the father might have done to the little boy and to himself.Personally I wouldn't worry about the father but would worry for the child.

Amber Alerts
Oh Susan it is always great when a child is saved, it is a shame the mom could not be saved as well. We had an Amber Alert last week, someone stole a car that had an infant inside (yes Mom made a mistake by leaving the child in the car) alert went out and 40 miles away the child was found crying but safe in the abandoned car at a rest stop I think.
Hugs and prayers for that little boy.

We get 'tests' done often but this is the first one that was real that I remember. We're out in the middle of nowhere so - - - -.
The little Boy is safe - that's the best outcome that was possible.
