has not happened to me.
ok
has not happened to me.
ok the reason i am responding to this is I have noticed people dont normaly look at posts unless they have a new messages by them and a new post dose not show this way.
I hope they are not cancerous. I wish you luck.
Have they come up with a plan to take care of them?0 -

I am going for a biopsy on 5/31. And from there we'll just have to see what they say. Thanks0 -

Hi Amanda,
If you had your TT eight years ago, they did not know about the B-RAF mutation gene. Forty-three percent of people have this gene and it makes our cancer more aggressive, more difficult to treat and more likely recurrent. Ask about this test and if it can be done on some of the biopsy tissue. If you are like me, one of the forty-three percent, this could be a life long project of watching it on a regular basis.
I recently had three biopsies after my second dose of RAI and they were negative. They were enlarged because they were reactive to the RAI. So, yours may or may not be cancer. Don't think the worst. Be positive and you are in my thoughts and prayers.
Blessings,

I had my biopsy done yesterday. I should hear from the doctor hopefully by Friday. According to the doctor a re-occurrence in the lymph nodes after the initial was in the lymph nodes is common. So I wait til Friday for an answer0 -

Yes, it is common to have recurrence in the Lymph nodes. Usually on the same side as the original cancer. Since it's been eight years you probably are not B-RAF positive. If you were it would have recurred soon and grown much faster. I look forward to hearing your results. I am still hoping and praying for the best possible outcome.

I got my results back from the doc and she said it was benign. It is great news. I still want to find out why I have these enlarged lymph nodes. 2 years ago I had a Ultrasound and they weren't enlarged. And should I be concerned that they only biopsied 1 of the 3 lymph nodes?sunnyaz said:Common Lymph Recurrence

So happy to hear this Amanda. Nodes can be enlarged when you are fighting a virus or any other kind of disease. At least you know they aren't cancer. I had three nodes biopsied and all three came back negative. If they came on at the same time, they are probably enlarged for the same reason, so I wouldn't worry about them missing something. Congrats on the good news.
