He was diagnosed with Stage IV about 3 yrs ago, tried chemo, the "rife machine", then back to chemo. The family finally had hospice in and he stopped chemo, died 2 months later, died Friday, a day after his 61st birthday. It took over adrenal gland, liver, and lungs. He was a good friend. He had cyber knife. U of M is one of the best cancer institutes, but cancer had its own agenda.
On a lighter note, my Stage 3b is determined to be in "remission", not NED. They can not conclusivly say "I an cancer free". Scar tissue from chemo and rads as well as pnuemonia, clouds the CT scan, but they indicate it is not showing up !!!!!

I am sorry about your friend. It sounds like he fought as hard as he could. Now he is not in pain, and I believe he is in a better place.
I am so happy to hear you are in remission. I am sure that pnuemonia will get cleared up soon, since everyone knows its there. I wish us all well. Lori0
