Has anyone been prescribed medication to aid in digestion following their esophagectomy? If you were, did you experience any side affects you can contribute to the medication?

Digestion
My husband had the ec, but I went through ovarian cancer and have had many large surgeries for adhesions and have a lot of digestive issues as well. My doctor advised me to take live probiotics and it has changed my life. I have dealt with so many issues including obstructions and this has truly been a lifesaver. It keeps me out of the ER. It can't hurt you. I am putting Jim on them since I see a lot of the same issues I was having. I will keep you informed if I see a change in him.
