So sorry to hear this Lisa -- fingers crossed for next time.
On the Chinese medicine issue -- I don't know about Chinese medicines increasing CEA, but when I have a PET scan (here in Hong Kong, where of course Chinese medicines are very common/popular), I am not allowed to take any Chinese herbs/medicines 3 days before the scan -- they particularly mention lingzhi and yunzhi...
Tara
Are you still in HK if you don't mind me asking... And do you take any lingzhi and yunzhi?
Best wishes,

Yes, I am still in Hong Kong. I am not taking lingzhi or yungzhi. I am not taking any traditional Chinese medicine/herbs at the moment but I have in the past, with the full knowledge of my oncologist used some traditional 'soups' designed to increase my immune system (white blood cell count, etc). I'm no expert in the area....
