Looking for info and side effects of Temodar for 21day cycle

    We have not started the 5 days on 20 plus days off yet. My sister (GBM4 ) is in the hospital because of sepsis, neutropenia and low platlets. They think the low platlets was from the 5 weeks straight of temodor. Sepsis was a port infection. The numbers are finally coming up. I am hoping the numbers will be up enough to start the temodor on time. I look at this site everyday it really helps me not to feel so all alone.Praying for miracles...

    My husband was on temodar for the 21 day cycle and tolerated it very well. He did take an anti-nausea medication a half hour before his temodar, but never had any difficulty with it. I have heard of other people who have been on temodar and the feedback was all pretty good.

    Thank you Beckymarie. I had not read anyone saying they had to be on 21 days. He takes his nausea pill one hour before his temodar. His doc said once they changed it from 5days to 21 days, he will never go back to 5 days. So far he is doing well.
