Starting New Treatment...
At first the Onc wanted to try Erbitux. I am a very outdoor person and sunlight is a big no-no with Erbitux. Onc said since I have not been on Folfiri since July, 2010..and it worked at that time...that we would try that again instead.....kind of. I am actually going to be doing the Camptosar ONLY...no 5FU, Leuco or Avastin. He warned diarrhea WILL be an issue. So I will play it by ear and see if I get results with none of that other junk. I am happy I won't be taking that dumb fanny pack home. Not looking forward to losing all my hair again but really.... that is a side effect I can LIVE with. After all, my husband lives with it every day and he don't even have cancer!!! LOL.
Some of you have been asking about my recent vacation to the Dominican Republic. It was AWESOME!!!! My second time there and I love it. My Sister went with me. Every day was beautiful .... Bahama Mama's....Cabana Boys....Bahama Mama's....Cabana Boys.... Mamajuana...Cabana Boys.... El Presidente beer... Cabana Boys....Did I mention Cabana Boys..LOL!! John23... I did look into your request...however...customs dogs ruined that!!!
Anyway.... I am waiting to start treatment till next week as I have a big wedding to attend Saturday and it is the grand opening of a winery I am an investor in..sooooo ...I may be doing a tiny...ok a lot...of partying this week-end...one last hurrah...for now!

On occasion I seem to be leaving letters out and bringing letters in on words (why this is I don't know, I blame chemo)so I totally read cabana boys and then "drinks" I saw drinks as something else, I was laughing so hard and then I reread it and saw it was drinks. Damn that your CEA has continued to rise. I think your onc is wise to treat now and see what happens to your CEA. Let us know how it is only being on Camptosar. I hope your side effects are minimal.
