Hootch
The new administration in New Jersey has been throwing up lots of road blocks on this. Its a shame for folks who could use the relief or the expanded appetites.
I have heard that some folks here in NJ actually have taken matters into their own hands ;-p0 -

There's toke, I mean talk about it happening but they are dragging their feet. When you look at the BIG PICTURE, NJ has very many pharmaceutical companies based in the state. Why would an administration want to get them PO'd and have them potentially move out of state? They'd have to be high to do that! While many issues are multi-sided, too often it comes down to corporate dollars and cents, not saving dollars and it making sense for the people...0 -

I have a few other versions of this "timeless classic". I'll find them, then put them into my rotation of avatars!
I would bet the farm that if any of our representatives had cancer or something similar that made you nauseous all the time and unable to eat and THEY tried pot, it would pass so fast your head would spin. They really don't get it.
The stigma that is associated with pot is ridiculous. You rarely ever hear of someone smoking pot and going home to beat his wife and kids. Alcohol on the other hand is perfectly legal. Obviously not everyone who drinks beats their wife or abuses it so why would "they" think that being allowed to smoke pot would lead to heroin use. It's such a lame excuse. Check out "Reefer Madness" if you want to see how people were brainwashed into thinking it made people into psychopaths....0 -
Go Delaware!!!
Marijuana has been legal here in California for some time, and getting a recommedation for it isn't hard, especially if you have cancer. The dispensaries are majorly paranoid about getting raided by the feds, and it does happen. Dispensaries move around a lot, and they never have signs out front of their establishments announcing who they are. In fact, the place i go to the most has an Avon sign out front! lol! It is all very covert. Even the doctors that are signing the recommendations are putting their license at risk. You can't just ask your onc to give you a recommendation as most will not do it. I think this is the main reason why more states aren't passing the medical marijuana law. The feds ARE active in pursuing "justice". Such a waste of money and resources.
