Slow rise
Oh, THANK you for posting that. My numbers went up for the first time by just a point or two last month. Until then they'd been dropping. I've decided not to be retested for 3 months, but It's really hard. I'm changing to a new doctor and clinic in July so I think it will be CT scan time then.
It's good to know I'm not the only worry wart out there.
We're still in remission. We really are!0 -
Darn annoyance that number
Darn annoyance that number can be! At least your doc's aren't concerned at this time. It's still quite low, not doing a spike, but I know you liked those pretty single digits way better. I'll do a verse of "Down number...DOWN!" for you as well.

These numbers rule our lives
I have just had my latest numbers. It is 6 weeks since I finished chemo yet my numbers have dropped They have gone from 122 to 95. I know I am still not in the normal range but I was 1280 back in October 2010.
I think it is all relative to each of us. I am so happy that I am now in double figures as opposed to quadruple and triple figures from 6 months ago.
The main thingthat both I & my doctor agree on is that I am feeling really really well which is a much better indicator for me and my cancer. I know that my cancer will never go away so the key word is management.
I know the numbers are a good way to monitor our cancer activity in a non invasive way, but how you are feeling is also a strong indicator of what your cancer is doing.
I have learnt (it has taken some doing I can tell you)to enjoy the times when I feel well. Yes the numbers will rise again and I will feel unwell sometime in the future, but until that happens I will enjoy feeling good.

That number does rule our
That number does rule our lives. It's horrible. Maybe the vaccine is causing it? Sometimes we just don't know why the number goes up or down. It may have nothing to do with ovca. I guess it's the not knowing. Well crap... just plain crap. I hope it goes down next time.

Damm Numbers
It is such a love hate relatonship, mine is also creeping in the wrong direction from a 1,2,3,6,9,and now 11. I know there are woman who would love these numbers so it is really silly to complain but we are all dfferent. I understand what you mean Carlene ,I would feel better if it would have a dip in the numbers every once in awhile. Maybe next time !

At Stanford Med Center where I was treated they don't measure the CA125 below 6. The lowest you can get is "<6".0 -

I totally agree with you Karen! I really don't even want to know WHAT my number is but I'll be checking it at the longest possible interval the oncologist will agree with.0
