Anyone experience bleeding from the nipple-post surgery

Hi all. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced leaking from the nipple area after surgery. I've been noticing stains on my tshirts in the morning when I wake up. I have a large 'hemotoma' <- my rad oncs words, in the breast where I had the lumpectomy and he believes this is leaking fluid through the nipple. My rad onc is not concerned "at all" he said, but suggested I mention to the breast surgeon anyway. Anyone experience this?

    I had something similar happen to me. In my case I was harvesting my eggs so my hormones were out of control, therefore pushing stuff in the breast. Do you notice this happening to you during ovulation - if you are still pre-menopausal? Does it look like flakes, dry blood? I had flakes on my clothes. My Onco also didn't worry. I also had a hemotoma, and he said it is also related to that. I kept watching it but I haven't noticed anything happening again. So I would say don't worry, but keep an eye on it.

    Never bleeding
    Never bleeding with my surgery breast but my cancer free breast had a yellow discharge. I saw it on my bra and also nipple.I called my oncologist and she ordered a ultrasound. The yellow discharge was nothing.The cancer free breast also has inverted nipple which has never been anything.I didn't notice it being inverted till a radiologist told me and asked me if I knew it.That was years ago.

    I would call your breast surgeon or oncologist.I am sure the radiologist knows but ask your doctors.I am sure they've seen it before. Just we aren't told to look for it. It wasn't one of those warning signs we are given after breast surgery.

    Surgeon said ok
    It took me a while to get the answer because the bleeding stopped and I wasn't worrying about it. But it started again last week so I finally called. The surgeon said it wasn't anything to be concerned about. The radiation oncologist also said he wasn't worried about it so I'm not worrying about it. I do have an appointment with the breast surgeon for a month after rads end so if there are any issues I can discuss it with her then. Thanks for your replies and concern ladies!
