Lose of Friend

Seems like April, start of beautiful weather, new life, blooming flowers and plants is also very heavy in sadness this year. Seems a lot of us on this board have shared a lose in recent months. About 3 months ago a friend of our family was diagnosed with ALL. This disease came on really fast and ravished her body in a very short time. Although doctors were saying 2 to 5 years just days before, she died on Wednesday evening. We are all in shock, finding it difficult to process this information. My heart breaks for her husband and family, and we are all at a lose as to how to help. My sweet husband is having a really hard time, I have never in our 25 years of marrage seen him so afloat. There are things worse than cancer in my opinion.

    I am so sorry for your loss. I don't know what your faith is. There is a sweet, thoughtful book called "Heaven Is For Real" that may offer you and your husband some peace. Kellie

    Losing a friend
    I know what you mean about losing a friend. I lost one myself that I knew all my life on April 6th.this year. It is hard. John

    I am so sorry to hear about your dear friend. How very sad for you and your family and their family.

    Any loss is sad, but a sudden unexpected loss, seems more so. My younger brother died suddenly a little over 2 years ago. So very hard.

    I'll keep you and yours close in my heart...

    We lost our dear friend in April to colorectal cancer. It's hard when our friends leave us. I'll have you in my thoughts and prayers. Take care friend, and God bless..Sue

    have more time.

    You are so right. This year has not been a good year for our friends. Very frightning.
    There have been 3 losses for me. The first died from a heart attack, possible low potassium, and neglect on her husband's part. The second had pain in her abdomen for almost a year, and the weekend before she died the pain was horrible. Never went to a doctor, and died in her husband's arms on a Monday morning.. She bled internally from a stomach ulcer. The third had been fighting Ovarian cancer for 5 years.

    Leslie, the year has just about started. Only 4 months into 2011. They say things come in
    3's, I hope this is it.

    My Condolences
    So sorry to hear of your friend's passing. Yes, past few months seems to be a sad part of this year. My friend also passed away last Valentine's day due to heart attack then my mother few weeks ago to ovarian cancer. It is scary - who is next? Wonder if it s my age of 54 that things began to happen making people sick into the 50 s and up... sorry for the negative thinking but this sure is scary. So I look at everything that I don't take for granted.
