1 year since lumpectomy & Dancing with NED

I just wanted to share with you all that last year this time I had my lumpectomy - I remember the doom and gloom I felt and fear seems to surround me. My life at that time was turned upside down and I couldn't believe this was happening to ME !! It was all just beginning and a panick ran through me. I am Christian woman and I thought of all I read in the Bible and all I was taught by my mother. Trust the Lord, Give it all to Him, He is in control - all these suddenly can clear. It was time for me to walk the talk. Most of my adult life the Lord has blessed me. My life was easy and wonderful and I have praised me so faithfully every day for all he has given me. Now a voice has been snickering in my head saying, "will you praise Him now, so easily, when things aren't so grand?" YES !!! I said to myself. I will - even through the bad times I will be faithful to Jesus and Priase Him. I will give Him the glory - through it all. Even though I have breast cancer and will have to endure chemo and radiation - I will praise Him.
Today, I am 7 months postchemo and am more happy today then I was before cancer. I love the place where God has brought me. This is my new motto because I am not the same person I was before cancer - I am better because of it and my family is tighter and my marriage is stronger. God has shown me through this what is important and what doesn't really matter. No, this past year wasn't easy by all means and there have been times when satan really tried to attack me but I kept my eyes on HIM, I learned the true meaning of what it is to trust the Lord and have faith in Him.
I had all my scans and I am now in remisson (NED) I'm beginng to feel good again. The sun feels so wonderful on my face, the grass is greener, the air is cleaner - my whole life feel so much more sweeter.
I know there will always be in the back of my head a fear of a reoccurance - all the more need to trust in Him and have Faith that HE has it all under control. Whether God chooses one day to take me home this way is His choice - I will still Praise Him!!

I'm sorry this is so long - I just felt a tug at my heart to share with you whats in my heart and that God is there for you too. He got me through the darkest time in my life and I am better becasue of it.
