Body continues to produce estrogen
I was told that it doesn't matter rather or not you've had a hystrectomy or not (or many years post menopause) - if you're ER+ you need somethng. Might give you more options of what you could take - your body does produces estrogen even without 'everything' there. I'm on Femara and have been for over a year and I was post meopause by 18 years when I was DX'd with IBC ER+0 -

I had a complete hysterectomy (including removal of ovaries) in 2006 prior to BC (in 2009). Since I was post-menopausal and ER+, my medical onc. started me on Femara after I finished chemo. Even though the ovaries have been removed, the body still produces estrogen from body fat, etc. so the Femara works by inhibiting the production of estrogen.
I hope that your hysterectomy is easy and that you will be feeling well again soon!

I am so sorry you are not being treated well at work! That makes a difficult time in your life so much harder and my heart goes out to you. (((HUGS))) and prayers!

I thought your doctor would recommend this and you would go back on tamox.I agree. No more worries.I feel that way for myself. I am so glad I had it all out years ago.
On the other hand my friends worry even though it has been many years since they took it. They feel female cancer can be lurking and pop up anytime for the rest of their lives. One even has vaginal bleeding but NO cause has been found.
