Saturday, May 7, Revlon Walk -- time/place to meet
So. How about meeting at the survivor hat booth ( just ask a volunteer -- every survivor gets a free hat ).
The official start time for walking ( which is really shuffling ) is 9:00 so how about trying to find each other between 8:30 and 9:00?
Who are we looking for?
VickiSam, Chenheart, Bella Luna, New Flower are the ones I know about. KathiM, are you coming? Any others?
See you all Saturday. Oh. And these are ideas, not "orders."
xoxo

Three days ago I have developed a severe skin reaction including rash and hives which now have covered most of my body. My oncologist thinks and treat it as allergy without visible success. Today I saw dermatologist who confirmed a drug allergy diagnosis. On Wednesday I am scheduled to see Immunologist. I will let you know if my conditions improve.
Hugs,

You must take care of 'YOU', first. Please let us know how you are doing?
Take care, dear Sister.

Well, I remember last year
Well, I remember last year how crowded it was at the Starting Line~ and Siobhan and I like to be as close to the Start as we can be~we like to hear the speeches and get pumped up, so to speak, but mostly we want to see Halle Berry and even more so, Allyson Hannigan, as we are MAJOR Buffy fanatics! We are so excited that we hopefully will get to have bragging rights that we saw Willow!! So, seems to me that Siobhan I will already be up front and ready to "shuffle" by then! Reggie rolls his eyes at me~ last year was the first time I had ever started at the official starting line~ the people I usually go with avoid the crowds and begin walking about 2 BLOCKS ahead of the crowd! Whaaaaat? I like the hustle, the bustle, the energy!!! So,no doubt Sio and I will already be shoulder to shoulder with 50,000 of our "closest friends!"0 -

Hives~ Oh No!!! It is truly amazing ( and not always fun!) how our bodies let us know that it doesn't like something! I am truly sorry that you have not been responding to treatment :-( I am sending you all positive and healing thoughts that your medical team is able to find the right medication to knock that allergic reaction out of your system!!!
((((((hugs)))))

First, poor Olga. I've had that before -- ended up in the ER with itches. I hope you make it Saturday, but more I hope you get relief.
And Chen, I'll miss seeing you and Siobhan, but this is my eleventh year and I've tried it every which way, even cheated and lined up with the runners just to get going, and I find it easier to hang back and start late and shuffle, but that's just me. Enjoy:)

I hear ya, Victoria~ I already know that Reggie won't line up front with Siobhan and me either! I just went along wth the group I was with, but last year, when it was just Siobhan and me,( and it was her first time!) we loved the getting up where the balloon banner and the bridge is and being part of the first out of the shoot! And now, I can't see being anyplace else! Our friends who do the 2 or 3 blocks ahead thing are participating in a 5K here in Santa Ynez instead, so Siobhan and I will be up front. I imagine we will find Reggie by the time its over! Thank goodness for cell phones! LOL0 -

I am staying at home today. My head is heavy from anti-hystamin medications, which suppose to help, nose almost double size, and everything is covered by hives. So far no skin improvements, however my ears are almost back to its original size. While I am having laptop and trying work from home my comprehension is far away from my "new Normal' post-Chemo brain ability. I am off all my medications, except anti-allergy one.
Today I am scheduled to see Allergist & Immunologist. Hopefully, my body will stop reacting soon.
Hugs to everyone.

My goodness~ I am so very sorry to hear of this; what a severe reaction! :-( I am surprised you can stay awake on anti-histamines~ they are a great sleep inducer.
I too hope that your body will stop reacting to the allergens...I wish you a speedy and complete recovery~ NEVER to return again.
Hugs,

My dear sisters,
Per request of my allergist I have to cancel my Revlon Walk tomorrow. I am very disappointed and have been hoping to see and hug everyone tomorrow. I wish you nice cool weather and good time together. I am sure your walk/run will be inspirational and on the high note.
My overall conditions are better today, however hives have been running its course despite of various medications and creams. I am currently on steroids, which I tried for avoid due to osteoporosis I have been recently diagnosed after being on Arimidex.I highly appreciate you positive thoughts and good wishes which you left here and on my expression page.
I love you very much and hope to see you soon

Olga, you take top priority on this one. No worries, there will be other Sister in Pink gatherings. This is your weekend, let yourself be pampered like a QUEEN!
Love you, too.
